Ekiti: Let peace prevail in Ekiti, group tells APC

A group, Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ), has cautioned the All Progressives Congress (APC); Osun State governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola and the embattled speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Dr Adewale Omirin, over an alleged impeachment notice on Governor Ayodele Fayose.

The group, while also urging other interest parties in the impeachment threat, called on the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, to caution his party members and supporters in the state.

The group made the call on Tuesday, in a statement made available to newsmen by its executive chairman, Comrade Adeniyi Alimi Sulaiman, even as it further urged the security agents in Ekiti State not to allow the leadership and members of APC to throw the state into another political crisis.

The CHRSJ said winning a presidential race should not be the ticket to cause political crisis in the state, as nobody was above the law.
